Pani takes over as IGP Kashmir
Swayam Prakash Pani, a 2000-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, today took over as the new inspector general of police (IGP) Kashmir Range, making him the youngest officer to hold the post. CRPF Jawan killed in on going encounter at Karan nagar
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was killed in the ongoing firefight in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar on Monday, said an official. According to the CRPF’s PRO, Rajesh Yadav, one constable has succumbed to his injuries at the site of firefight. The deceased constable have been identified as Mujahid Khan of 49th bn.
