Militants escape at Palhalan, search operation on.
Sources said that militants, whose number was not immediately known, managed to escape after exchanging fire with the forces early morning. They said that searches were going on in the area when last reports came in. Sources said that some youth were injured in the clashes. However, there was no official confirmation.
Vehicular traffic resumes from Jammu to Srinagar on Friday
Traffic authorities told media that Srinagar Jammu highway was partially restored on Friday as vehicular traffic was resumed from Jammu to Srinagar on Friday. According to traffic officials all the stranded vehicles would be allowed to move to Srinagar today however no vehicle would be allowed to proceed to Jammu from Srinagar on Friday.
