Hurriyat conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been placed under house arrest by police on thrusday morning. Reports said that Mirwaiz was sheduled to participate in a seminar at the residence of Geelani which is purely religious to pay tributes to Martyrs of Karbala.
