COVID-19: 14 positive cases in Kashmir, total tally in J-K rises to 106

Srinagar: Kashmir division has got 14 new positive cases for COVID-19, taking total tally to 106.

The Jammu and Kashmir government spokesperson, Rohit Kansal, on Sunday said that 14 new cases in Kashmir division were reported. “Total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir is now 106,” he added.

Kansal also added that active cases in Kashmir are 82, while as in Jammu it is 18.

Until yesterday,  28,545 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases were put under surveillance so far. As per the officials, 10606 persons were kept under home quarantine (including facilities operated by Govt.) while as 682 are in hospital quarantine while 86 persons have been kept in hospital isolation. Persons who are under home surveillance stand at 12795 while as 4376 persons have completed their 28-day surveillance period. It said that 1397 samples have been sent for testing of which 1250 tested as negative as on 1500 hours.
