ASSURANCE BY MURMU
Taking the sentiment of Centre further Lt Governor G C Murmu recently assured people of Jammu and Kashmir that there would be protection of land and jobs subject to certain exceptions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Giving some data Murma said that more than 1,000 development projects have been completed in the Union Territory of Jammu and kashmir in the last 18 months and an equal number would be completed soon in the coming months especially during the summer months.
Murmu said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have lot of apprehensions especially about domicile rights after the abrogation of Article 370 provisions in August last year. “Keeping in view the interest of the UT, protection of land and jobs for the locals would be ensured subject to certain exceptions,” Murmu further said.
Murmu was accompanying the Union Ministers in various programmes in public outreach in Jammu region and assured people that government’s commitment for implementation of the 74th Constitutional Amendment to strengthen the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in J&K.
Such assurances from LG Murmu to the people of Jammu and Kashmir has given a new direction to the central government initiatives here to give people a new hope for a better future in the coming months.
