Hailstorm plays havoc in Kulgam

kulgam:The sudden hail storm on Wednesday after damaged huge stretches of orchids and other crops in dozens of villages in Kulgam District. According to the villagers it was a hail storm of huge magnitude as almost it covered the fields and remained for few hours.
Those villages orchids and crops were damaged include noorabad, Nehama, Pathipora, Rambhama, Harvath and Kokherhama. The villagers said that the hail storm has inflicted heavy damage on the fruit trees and other crops. The villagers have appealed concerned revenue authorities and other wings of the administration to visit the effected villages so that the assessment is done without any delay.
The villagers said that earlier also they have suffered because of heavy snowfall and even after the assessment of damages they have yet to receive and compensation from the government.
The effected villagers have appealed DC Kulgam to visit the damaged orchids and direct the concerned officials to prepare the assessment report of the damages
