Two Kashmiri boys arrested in Rajouri ‘rifle snatching bid’: Police

Government forces on Monday claimed to have recovered the rifle snatched from a cop in Rajouri district of Jammu within hours.

They said that two persons had attacked the forces personnel deployed at Shadra Shareef in Rajouri Jammu on Sunday night and snatched a rifle from them.

However acting promptly the forces held the nakas at several places and apprehended the assailants today early morning during search at Thanamandi area of district Rajouri.

The arrested were identified as Mukhtar Ahmed (22), son of Abdul Ahad Dar, resident of New Colony, Safanagri (Zainapura) Shopian and Aijaz Ahmed Paaray (22) son of Sonullah Parray, resident of Keshva, Chitragama, Shopian, Kashmir.
