Internet Services snapped in District Ganderbal.

Internet was suspended in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district following killing of a native militant in Shopian gunfight on Sunday.

Muhammad Rafi Bhat who was a professor of sociology in Kashmir University hailed from Chunduna village of the district. Soon after the news about Bhat’s killing spread, district witnessed a tense situation.

He was reported missing on Friday. His disappearance had triggered protests in Kashmir University today.

The authorities apprehending large scale protests suspended the Internet.
