Sunday bloodbath in shopian toll reaches 19

Fourth civilian succumbed to his injuries in SKIMS on Sunday evening taking the toll of civilians to four in shopian on Sunday. Dozens of civilians were injured some of them seriously when security forces opened fire and used pellet guns and tearsmoke shells to disperse protests at two encounter sites in shopian.

Police said that 12 militants were killed in south kashmir on Sunday in three gunfights. Three army Jawans were also killed.four civilians were killed so far as protests were going on in various parts of south kashmir.

Local reports from the area said that hundreds of civilians were injured in protests which erupted in south kashmir after 16 killings.police sources said that security forces were trying to control the protests till Sunday evening.
