With dry weather, cold wave lashes in Kashmir
Cold wave is lashing entire J&K state with temperatures dipping low in the Jammu region also during the previous night. According to the MET office of Srinagar there would be clear skies and dry weather for another two weeks and it is a indication that Kashmir and Ladakh will freeze in the coming days. Leh and Kargil towns in the Ladakh region were railing under minus temperatures while, entire Kashmir valley witnessed minus temperatures including capital Srinagar.
Meanwhile traffic authorities in Srinagar have advised commuters to conform status of the Jammu Srinagar highway from traffic control units established by them in Srinagar Ramban and Jammu. On Saturday several road accidents on this highway disrupted traffic for hours. A senior traffic official told VOV that they will allow only one way movement of traffic on Sunday. He said that traffic would be allowed from Srinagar to Jammu in a regulated manner.
