Several injured as army fires in air at pakherpora
Army has fired in air to disperse protests at main chowk of pakherpora this morning when they were coming back from a search operation in the nearby village of charipora. Local reports from the area said that army thrashed villagers during cordon and search operation in the village and it triggered protests.as the word spread across angry group of youth pelted stones on the search party of army and paramilitary forces near the revered shrine of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Balkhi in the main chowk of pakherpora.
Reports said that police and CRPF lobbed lot of tear gas shells but could not break the intense protest. Finally reports said that army opened fire in air to move forward from the area. Latest news from the area said that several youth were injured and the pakherpora chowk was filled with tear smoke. More details are awaited.
