Fresh western disturbances going to touch J&K

According to the state meteorological department fresh western disturbances are going to touch J&K state on November 28 that will bring respite from the cold conditions with predictions of rain and snow. There has been marked improvement in the night temperatures both in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region.
A MET official told VOV that night temperatures improved due to cloudy skies. He said that during the previous night in many places in the Kashmir valley the temperatures were above freezing point. He said that the ski resort of Gulmarg and tourist resort of Pahalgham continued to witness sub zero temperatures during night.
The minimum temperatures in the Jammu region also improved including in Jammu city and in Banihal the gateway town to Jammu region. At both places the night temperatures settled at nine degrees.
The weatherman in Srinagar said that they are expecting light rains in Srinagar city and other plain areas of Kashmir valley and a moderate snowfall in the higher reaches on November 28. He said that they expect the western disturbances to have its impact in Kashmir valley on November 29 also with likely rains and snow.
