Restrictions in Srinagar parts, train service suspended

Srinagar

Restrictions were imposed by authorities on Monday in Srinagar areas and additional forces were deployed following the killing of three militants and two civilians a day before.

Restrictions have been imposed in areas falling under five police stations of Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, M.R. Gunj and Safa Kadal, officials said.

The step was taken to maintain law and order, officials said.

Educational institutes across the valley are also shut and there is thin movement of traffic on roads.

Among the militants killed was Hizb’s operational commander Yaseen itoo, @ Gazanivi.
Meanwhile, Authorities also suspended the train service in Kashmir.

The service is already suspended in south Kashmir for third consecutive days.
