DGP Prisons visits Central Jail
SRINAGAR: Director General of Police, J&K Prisons Department, S K Mishra, Tuesday visited the Central Jail Srinagar to review the security and management of the Jail.
While inspecting the Jail premises, the DGP interacted with the Jail inmates as well as staff. He also took stock of various training programmes currently going on in the Jail.
Later, the DGP chaired a meeting with the Superintendent and other officers of the Central Jail Srinagar. On the occasion, a proposal pertaining to the security and management of the Jail was submitted to the DGP. The DGP urged the concerned authorities to ensure maintenance of proper hygiene and availability of medical and other requisite facilities to the jail inmates round the clock as per provisions of the J&K Jail Manual.
