KAS mains postponed
Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (PSC) today postponed the scheduled written examination of KAS 2016. The examination was scheduled on November 7. It is believed that Mehbooba Mufti intervened for the deferment of the examination. New dates probably for mid February 2018 will be intimated to students separately by PSC.
Prompt action by Mehbooba sends cheque of Rs 2 lakh to victim
Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has kept her promise to photojournalists and in hours the freelance photographer got Rs 2 lakh cheque from CM. He was injured in 2016 unrest and has been battling with his injuries. A group of photographers informed CM at police function about the plight of their colleague.

Cop shot and injured in Shopian
Jammu and Kashmir Police cop was shot at and injured by suspected militants at fuel refilling centre of Shopian on Wednesday evening, police said. Police identified the injured cop as Ashiq Ahmad and said that he was immediately hospitalised.
