Fresh round of talks
United leadership of Ladakh is going to hold fresh round of talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding their demands while as the centre has appointed a senior leader of BJP from Jammu as their new Lieutenant Governor.
The new LG of UT of Ladakh has assured the united leadership of Ladakh and the people about their inclusion for the talks including their statehood demand and more participation in local governance.
Many rounds of talks have been held since Ladakh was carved out as a separate union territory on August 05, 2019 without legislature by the central government.
The demand for 33% women’s reservation is a significant step towards promoting gender equality and empowering women.
By reserving a significant percentage of seats for women, the LAHDC can ensure that women’s voices are heard and their perspectives are represented in the decision-making process.
The creation of new districts can also have a positive impact on the region’s development, enabling more effective governance and delivery of services to the people.
