Fresh Snowfall Forecast in Jammu and Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Parts of Jammu and Kashmir are expected to receive fresh snowfall, ranging from light to moderate, until the forenoon of February 5.

An official from the Meteorological Department JK said that generally cloudy weather is expected today, with the possibility of light to moderate rain and snow at many places until February 5.

He added that weather conditions are likely to improve from the afternoon of February 5. However, higher reaches of the Chenab Valley and the Pir Panjal Range in South Kashmir may receive snowfall of up to 8–10 inches.

From February 6 to 8, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy and generally dry. A fresh spell of light rain and snow is likely at isolated to scattered places on February 9.

Between February 10 and 11, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy, with the possibility of light rain and snow at scattered to fairly widespread locations. (JKNS)
