Poll preparation
In connection with coming parliamentary polls in every district of Jammu and Kashmir preparations are going on.
In this connection recently District Election Officer (DEO), Srinagar chaired a meeting with representatives from various Political Parties at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The meeting was followed by orientation program to sensitize the representatives of various Recognized Registered, Unrecognized Registered Political Parties and other stakeholders about the process of Nomination filling for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India.
At the outset, the DEO said that the orientation program provides a platform to sensitize political parties about the various aspects regarding the procedures to be followed while filing Nomination forms for contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024. He said interaction with political parties is of imperative nature to uphold integrity, fairness, and transparency throughout the electoral process.
He urged representatives of all the political parties to display utmost integrity and responsibility, thereby setting a positive environment for a free, fair, and peaceful electoral process.
