Army Opens Fire, Launches Search Operation in JK’s Rajouri

SRINAGAR: The Army opened fire and initiated a search operation upon detecting suspicious movement near their camp in a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district early Saturday, media reports said.

There were no casualties reported from the firing incident.

According to officials, a sentry discharged a few rounds upon observing a group of unidentified individuals moving towards the camp in the darkness.

The group withdrew into the nearby village, prompting a search operation. As of the latest updates, the operation was ongoing, but there was no trace of the suspected persons. Additionally, army conducted a search operation in the Sharda Sharief area of Rajouri on Saturday morning, resulting in no arrests.
