Uri Infiltration Bid: Second Militant Neutralised, Operations Continue
SRINAGAR: Another unidentified militant has been killed, bringing the toll to two, after security forces foiled an infiltration bid in the Sabura Nala area of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A top official said that two militants have been killed, with one body recovered so far in the firefight. He further stated that searches in the area are underway.
Earlier, during the early hours, movement of militants was detected. Infiltrators were challenged by the security forces, leading to a firefight.
During the firefight, one militant was killed, whose identity was not yet ascertained, he said. (GNS)
