Public outreach programmes have become now very important for the administration to know about the issues of common people in entire Jammu and Kashmir.

Recently Secretary Health chaired public darbar at Handwara and e-inaugurates development projects.

While highlighting the importance of public darbar, Dr. Abid Rashid said that these public outreach programs act as a bridge between the administration and the people, paving way for enhanced growth and development in the district. The government functionaries connect with the people directly analyzing their specific development needs and aspirations, he added.

Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, demanded accelerating pace of work on the GMC building besides addressing shortage of timber in forest depots of Kupwara district.

Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, expressed hope that the health projects being executed in the district will get special attention from the authorities for timely completion. He also demanded up-gradation of SDH Kupwara to District Hospital besides expeditious execution of works on GMC Handwara.

During the event, a documentary depicting work on GMC Handwara building, Associated District Hospital  and related hostel facilities was screened.

He e-inaugurated three infrastructure development projects including Panchayat Bhawan at Dudipora, health centre at Bakiaakar and up gradation of Palpora-Khanpora road.
