Drone mapping
In Srinagar district authorities have almost completed drone mapping and it has been lauded by the central government. Recently Union Joint Secretary reviewed the progress of such work in Srinagar
Union Joint Secretary lauded the efforts of district administration Srinagar in achieving almost 100% of the targets in digitization of revenue records and becoming the country’s first district to achieve 100% saturation under SVAMITVA Yojana.
He said that adequate funding will be provided by the Union Ministry of Rural Development for establishment of Record Rooms in all the Tehsils of the district. He added said that DoLR shall provide funding for establishment of Modern Record Rooms, upgradation of Registration Portal, etc.
He asked the Revenue authorities to suggest reformative measures to bring further improvements in the registration process.
During the meeting, he was also apprised of progress achieved under the RDD sector in the district and the issues in smooth implementation of schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY-Gramin.
He said that the Revenue Land Records play an important role in all developmental activities of various allied departments so all revenue records written and updated should be error free to benefit the public at large and end the possibility of any land dispute in future.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, apprised the Union Joint Secretary of progress achieved in digitization of revenue records in the district.
