Indian Navy revived Naval training at Manasbal lake

Indian Navy has revived Naval training at Manasbal lake in District Ganderbal for providing training to NCC cadets after gap of 33 years. 100 cadets including girls from various collages of UT J&k are going to participate in camp. The participants expressed excitement over imparting training from this area and satisfaction over the arrangements made for their lodging and boarding.NCC group Commander Srinagar Brigadier KL Kalsi during a press briefing termed it is as a momentous day to revive NCC training activities of Naval wing at Manasbal lake after gap of three decades. He applauded the intense efforts of Government, Administration and Armed forces to improve the security situation and made the atmosphere conducive to revive the training area for cadets. He further said that besides training the cadets to join armed forces the basic aim is to make them disciplined and grow as responsible citizens. This is pertinent to mention that after the suspension of training at Manasbal lake it was imparted at Nagrota and Mansar lake of Jammu.
