District administration demolished temporary shelter in Ganderbal

Two poor families having no male head to look after have been left shelter less after the District administration Ganderbal demolished temporary shelter at Behaama in Distric Ganderbal. The families were residing on the main road Behaama in a small house attached with shops which was the source of their livelihood. During the road widening process from Pandach to Beehama, they were promised rehabilitation at other place and compensation against the acquisition. Though the Eighty Percent of compensation amount was paid to them but a piece of land which was allotted to them for construction of house has been taken back by administration by demolishing the temporary structures erected by them. Meanwhile, these families have approached the Court but the documents lying with them read that the piece of land which was allotted to them for rehabilitation was a verbal order by then Deputy Commissioner.
