Plantation drive
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir with the liberal funding of the central government has embarked on the path of making a complete green cover for the ecological balance here.
Recently LG Manoj Sinha launched a fresh drive for the plantation of 1.5 crore new saplings.
He felicitated Village Panchayat Plantation Committees for outstanding performance in plantation drives in their respective panchayats of J&K.
He notified Jammu and Kashmir Social Forestry (Plantation) Rules-2022 in which the government has given a vision for the future ecological balance.

“Green Jammu & Kashmir Drive” was launched from AIIMS Vijaypur. The target for the current year is planting of 1.5 cr saplings.
