After the wet weather, more rains predicted in J&K

Srinagar

After the recent heavy rains which swelled the rivers and nallahs of Jammu and Kashmir, the weatherman predicted more rainfall till June 30 this month.

Although there could be light rains and thundershowers in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir in the next 24 hours, wet weather conditions are going to persist according to the MeT department.

According to the weatherman by and large after the recent heavy showers dry weather conditions will prevail but there could be rains at isolated places.

In the month of June now according to the MeT department there would be no major rainfall activity.

Meanwhile the residents of Srinagar have been watching the levels of water in river Jhelum especially from Zero Bridge to Downtown as the river crossed the danger mark yesterday.

There is no flood threat but the levels are still high in the river Jhelum especially in Srinagar city.
