Srinagar, Jun 17: Authorities on Friday evening sealed a fair-price medical shop operating in premises of District Hospital Shopian.

Officials in the know how of things told GNS that the shop was sealed due to ‘inordinate delay’ in payment of rent. “The particular shop has accrued arrears in tune of over twenty-lac rupees”, they said adding despite being served with notices from time to time, the shop-owner didn’t budge.

Tehsildar Shopian Fida Mohammad confirming it told GNS that they were directed by Deputy Commissioner Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya to act against the defaulter. (GNS)
