There is no denying the fact that the government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a lot of steps to modernize education. It has tried to bring all the latest technologies and scientific temper to Jammu and Kashmir so that research work becomes result oriented.

In the connection recently Advisor to LG said that in recent years, J&K has made institutional advances in education as well as health sectors. He added that two AIIMS institutes, seven new Medical Colleges, ample number of degree colleges as well as innovation and incubation centers have been established across J&K.

He said that colleges are being made autonomous across the Union Territory so that the culture of research and innovation can be amplified here.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, said that this program is very important as in today’s world, we have unique equipment and technologies and therefore we need to keep ourselves abreast with the latest happenings in the world of Science and Technology. She added that through this conference, the Department of Science and Technology, GoI helps to make aware and create know-how about different uses of some unique equipment they provide to different universities across the country.

Chairman STUTI and former Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, said that the training will be conducted on hub-and-spoke model and envisions to have a hands-on training program and sensitization of the state-of-the-art equipment as well as its sharing with transparent access to Science and Technology facilities.
