Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ganderbal organized Kisan Mela as part of the KISAN BHAGIDARI-PRATHMIKTA HAMARI CAMPAIGN during Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.The Mela was inaugurated by Director Research in presence of other faculty of Centre. Farmers from different parts of the district participated in the Mela. Stalls were established by Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries and all line Departments of the district along with private entrepreneurs. Latest technologies, seeds, vegetable seedlings were also available for display and sale purposes. An interactive session between scientists and farmers was also conducted to aware the farming community regarding the schemes available with the Line Department and the avenues available for the entrepreneurship development. While felicitating the six progressive farmers from different enterprises of the district, Director Research encouraged farmers to collaborate with University and Line Departments for entrepreneurship development and doubling farmer’s income. This is pertinent to mention that Minister of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare inaugurated the program on national level through virtual mode.
