Worst power crisis ever faced by Ganderbal, PDD officials say they are unaware

There seems to be no end to power crisis, which keeps on worsening since day by day in town area of District Ganderbal. The population in the town, has alleged that Power Development Department has failed to provide adequate electricity since a month now. They said that their compliant is not of unscheduled power cuts, it is about the complete black out which concerned department has forced on them. The people are facing difficulties as the entire town is reeling under darkness during this holy month of Ramadhan. The main problem is with the Grid station which has three transformers with the capacity of 6.3 MVA each and needed to be upgraded by increasing capacity. Though the department brought a 10 MVA transformer to replace one of the low capacity transformer but never connected it to main supplies instead disconnected already existing low capacity transformer which is the main cause of worst power crisis the town area has ever seen. Ironically, The Executive Engineer PDD Ganderbal has distanced himself from the matter by saying that he has no such information of power crisis, when contacted for the comment on the issue.
