Frequent power cuts during the holy month of Ramzan have irked common people in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir. In most of the localities of Srinagar city, despite metered electric supply, there are frequent disruptions especially during the Sehri and  Iftar   time. Many residents of Srinagar told this newspaper on phone that after every hour, power supply is disrupted and it is a very frustrating trend.

“We cannot work on our computers, when we go back we have to take Iftar and Sehri in darkness. We appeal LG Manoj Sinha to intervene in this matter” said Zahoor Ahmad of Srinagar who is living in a metered colony.

Reports from the other parts of Kashmir and many stories appearing in various media outlets have suggested that the power supply in this month has remained very disruptive.
