People appeal authorities to check prices in the markets during Ramzan

People in Ganderbal district have alleged that with the start of the Holy month of Ramzan, the prices of all the essential commodities including mutton, chicken and vegetables have gone much higher than the previous rates.

People have appealed to the authorities to go for the market checking as even the Iftyari items like dates, dry fruit and fresh fruit are being sold in the markets at very high prices.

Talking to Voice of Valley, Assistant Director CAPD has said that they have started checking the markets and has asked the people to contact their department if they have any complaints against price rise in the markets of Ganderbal.

Meanwhile such allegations of no checking in the markets during the Holy month of Ramzan are coming from Srinagar, Budgam and other districts of Kashmir valley.
