Panic grips Sopore locality after leopard spotted in residential area
Wildlife official says efforts on to track and catch the animal
Panic gripped Naseem Bagh area of Sopore after a leopard was spotted there late on Tuesday night, following which a team of wildlife department was rushed to the area.
Locals told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a leopard was spotted in the area at around 11 PM last night after which they informed the police.
They said that the police later informed the wildlife department and asked the people not to venture out unnecessarily.
Meanwhile, a wildlife official said that a team was rushed immediately after they received information about the presence of a leopard in the area.
He said that efforts are on to track and catch the animal. (KNS)
