On Jhelum banks, homeless family appeals for help from administration

In the recent heavy snowfall the houseboat got immersed in the Jhelum waters and the family could be only saved by the neighbors while the boat along with all essential items was drowned.
The family has appealed the district administration of Srinagar for help so that they are rehabilitated and the government also brings out the boat from the waters of Jhelum
Appealing to the authorities for their rehabilitation the family head told Voice of Valley that so far they have not been given any shelter or help by the administration and they were saved by their neighbors but they could not save their household items when the boat immersed in the Jhelum waters.
In the recent heavy snowfall many shikaras and houseboats were damaged and they have appealed to the government to intervene in their matters and save them so that they can rehabilitate along with their families
