Weather to remain erratic in Kashmir says MeT department

For another 72 hours, the MeT department has predicted that there would be erratic weather starting from Tuesday in J&K and Ladakh. Some areas will witness cloudy skies while as many areas will witness sunshine, says the latest prediction.
In Kashmir valley it is usual during the month of February to witness erratic weather conditions but most of the days so far have remained dry.
There can be not only wet weather but even snowfall in the days of February but the MeT officials have predicted only erratic weather conditions.
According to news agencies, their weather report has said as follows.
“Weather remained erratic in J&K and Ladakh on Tuesday. Erratic weather is likely to continue till Friday,” news agency IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.
Srinagar recorded 0.8 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 4.2 degrees and Gulmarg minus 5.8 degree as the minimum temperature.
Drass in Ladakh region registered minus 12.0, Leh minus 8.5 and Kargil minus 14.0 as the night’s lowest temperature.
Jammu city clocked 9.1 degrees, Katra 8.2, Batote 2.7, Banihal 0.2 and Bhaderwah 1.5 as the minimum.
