Reacting to the recent granting of bail in favor of Ashish Mishra, the son of Union minister Ajay Mishra Teni, who was arrested in connection with killing of farmers and there are serious charges against him, Mehbooba said that in BJP rule, criminals are roaming free while those who stand for truth are languishing in Jails.

It is in place to mention that Allahabad High Court on Thursday granted bail to Ashish Mishra, the son of Union minister Ajay Mishra Teni, who was arrested in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence that killed eight people including four farmers. On October 3 last year, eight people were killed in Lakhimpur Kheri during violence that erupted when farmers were protesting against Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya’s visit to the area. Four farmers were moved down by an SUV. A driver and two BJP workers were then allegedly lynched by angry farmers.

According to KNT in its news report on this development on Friday it has said as follows.

Reacting to the bail granted by the court, former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti took to social media and wrote: “Umar Khalid, Fahad Shah, Waheed Para & Siddique Kapan are languishing in jail on trumped-up charges. But a Minister’s son walks away scot-free after allegedly running over farmers. In Godhse’s India, criminals roam freely & those who speak the truth are jailed.”
