Growing intolerance to the different cultures and way of life is destroying the idea of India says Mehbooba

Former Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has said that growing intolerance of BJP government to the different ways of life in the entire country is a matter of concern and it is going to destroy the fabric of pluralism and diversity of the country. She said that RSS and BJP together are out to destroy the very idea of India and it is a direct attack on the constitution and also to the different institutions which are holding the country together.
Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday during her visit to Ganderbal district said that the central government was exploiting the natural resources in Jammu and Kashmir since abrogation of article 370 and was also trying to weaken the distinct identity of different states within the union of India.
Talking to voice of valley on the side lines of condolences to the family of Qazi Muhammad Afzal a former minister of PDP and its senior leader on the sad demise of his wife, she said that BJP government at the centre has been attacking the very idea of India which is the union of states.
Mehbooba said that the acid attack accused in Srinagar city should be given exemplary punishment as they have rendered life of a young girl in a very precarious situation as she is battling for her life in the hospital.
She said that growing intolerance to the way of life of the citizens in the entire country is a matter of alarm for all the concerned citizens. She said that banning the girls from attending a college in Karnataka is the latest manifestation of growing intolerance regarding the minorities and said that it will have dangerous consequences.
