Bandipora

Bandipora police in a swift operation after having the intelligence inputs from the ground have not only recovered the illicit timber but have also arrested the smugglers.

According to the police, acting on this information a police party led  by I/C PP Aloosa SI Mohmmad Mushtaq under Supervision of DySP Hqrs Bandipora, laid a surprise naka at Aloosa chowk. During checking one vehicle bearing registration no JK01K-4964 was stopped and during checking a large quantity of illicit forest timber was recovered from said vehicle. The accused who is a notorious timber smuggler identified as Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Yousuf Dar R/o Illahipora Aloosa has been arrested on spot and vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

In this regard case FIR under relevant sections of IPC and Forest Act has been registered in police station Bandipora. Further investigation of the Case is going on.
