The government of Jammu and Kashmir has received a lot of online complaints regarding the encroachments on the Migrant properties. In many complaints, the officials after the investigation found that the properties have been purchased under the due process while the government is trying to remove the encroachments from such Migrant properties which are under the illegal occupancy.

Recently Divisional Commissioner Kashmir was given the latest update about the status of redressal of online/offline Grievances particularly about Migrant properties.

He directed the Revenue Officers of Srinagar District to follow the instruction with added zeal and dedication and complete the target within 15 days.

He said updating of Revenue records is a core work of Revenue Department and is also a basic requirement of every household for which coordinated teamwork is key to achieve set targets in a time bound manner. He said performance of Revenue Officers will be strictly monitored on the parameters of updating of revenue records and purification of records preceding digitization.

He asked all the Tehsildars to ensure quality disposal of all online/offline Grievances particularly about Migrant properties in a time bound manner.

He urged the officers to remain accessible to people in their respective offices so that day to day matters are redressed on spot.
