Water stream connecting Jhelum and Dal in Shambles

Water stream behind TRC which is a vital water link between river Jhelum and Dal Lake is in shambles while the face lift given to its banks recently is back to square one.
Recently under the smart city mission, the government gave a face lift and made some viewpoints on this water stream. Due to the lack of any surveillance and care, people have taken away recently installed chairs and have also defaced the ceilings of these viewpoints which were recently built by the authorities.
The people living around have expressed their shock over such neglect by the authorities as the unscrupulous elements have taken away the ceilings and even the sitting chairs from these viewpoints which show that the officials have no care for such expenditures done very recently by them.
People of the area have appealed to the authorities to save these viewpoints from the further damage and have asked them to monitor the movement in this area and also go for cleaning of this water stream at the earliest.
