J&K administration is trying to increase the awareness about its different welfare programmes and in this direction they have taken slew of measures on the ground so that more and more people get the benefit of such schemes.
In order to get the ground reports and to assess the achievements recently J&K Chief Secretary called for improving content and its delivery for better dissemination of welfare programmes.
He asked the information department to rebut fake news on a real time basis. He urged the department to disseminate stories on Government’s Welfare programmes.
He asked for strengthening the Grievance Redressal System so that people get prompt relief from the government whenever they have any complaints.
He emphasized the need to connect with the people in the UT through provision of useful Information about the welfare programmes of the government.
He made this observation while reviewing the functioning of the Information Department in the meeting in which Principal Secretary, Information Department, Director, Information, Joint Director, Information, Jammu and other senior officers of the department were present.
He asked the department to focus on improving both the quality of the content and its delivery for effective dissemination of the various public welfare programmes.
