While the former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has condemned the arrest of mother and daughter at Rawalpora and has said that it is a new low of the J&K administration while dealing in Kashmir, now Sajad Gani Lone has also condemned their arrest.
Police recently arrested mother and daughter from Rawalpora on the charges of raising anti India slogans and have been arrested. Reacting to their arrest Sajad said that the stick approach adopted by the government won’t yield any results.
According to the KNT in its news report on the arrest of mother and daughter on Thursday it said, as follows.
“It is a condemnable and shameful act. We can’t live at a place where the government after every hour wants to convey a message to people that it is aiming a sword toward them and they should look at it,” Sajad Lone told reporters on the sidelines of a joining function here in Srinagar today.
Pertinently, police arrested the mother-daughter duo for allegedly raising anti-national slogans after the shootout in Rengreth area of Srinagar outskirts that led to the killing of two militants.
Sajad Lone said that government is the guardian and protector of the people and its not good for the government to use muscle power. “Its really shameful,” he said.
