In order to educate the unorganized workers about their rights and other privileges, the government has started conducting awareness and registration programs for these workers.

In this connection recently the Srinagar administration held an Awareness and Registration programme for unorganized workers here. According to the government over 21k unorganized Workers registered on e-SHRAM in Srinagar.

The District Administration Srinagar organized a special programme on e-SHRAM Portal for Awareness and Registration of unorganized Workers of Agriculture Workers, Daily Rated Workers (DRWs) and Part time employees etc.

The Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) said that Facilitation Counter will be established in every Zone of the Department so that the maximum number of Agricultural Workers is registered on e-SHRAM Portal.

On this occasion the officers gave a detailed presentation on the process and benefits of getting registered on e-SHRAM Portal to the participants including scores of unorganized Workers of Agriculture Department, DRWs and Part time employees.

They said that special camps and awareness programmes are being organised for the purpose through the Common Service Centres (CSC) across the district Srinagar. They said Registration on the e-SHRAM portal requires Aadhaar details, bank account number linked with Aadhar card and age limit of 16 to 59.
