Police arrest three persons on charges of killing at Bohri Kadal

Police said on Tuesday that they have arrested and booked three persons in connection with the killing of a salesman at a Kashmiri Pandit shopkeeper in Bohri Kadal area of downtown Srinagar.

After getting the initial leads, police said that they were able to arrest all the accused in the case. Police further said that all the accused are from Lelhar village of Pulwama district.

It is in place to mention that on November 19 suspected militants mistook a Muslim salesman at the Pandit shopkeeper Sandeep Mawa and killed him. Police identified the salesman as Muhammad Ibrahim Khan a resident of Danamer Eidgah. He died on way to hospital while police station MR Gunj Srinagar had registered a case (FIR 86/2021 under section 307, 7/27 Indian Arms Act) in this regard and set investigation into motion.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that after investigation, police station Kakapora arrested 4 suspects and all were brought to police station MR Gunj. Among the 4 suspects, 3 were booked on charges of murdering Muhammad Ibrahim Khan.

Police identified the accused as Aijaz Ahmed Lone, Showkat Ahmed Dar and Naseer Ahmed Shah, all residents of Lelhar Kakapora, Pulwama.
