Fully vaccinated J&K cop dies of suspected Covid complications
An officer of Deputy Superintendent rank in Jammu and Kashmir police has died of suspected Covid complications here at the Government Medical College and Hospital, sources at the hospital said, adding that the deceased was fully vaccinated.
“A 53-year-old officer tested positive on November 6 and was admitted to the hospital,” the sources said.
They said that on November 18, he tested negative for coronavirus infection, “however, he had reportedly developed some post-Covid complications and passed away”.
A resident of Reasi district, the officer was posted in the IRP Battalion. He is survived by two sons, daughter, wife and mother. He was cremated at his native village, police said.
