Former Law maker and NC leader joins PDP in Kashmir
Former National Conference (NC) law maker Abdul Majid Mir joined People Democratic Conference (PDP) here on Monday.
Welcoming Mir to her party, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti termed it a daring decision and said “joining PDP is like touching a high voltage live power wire”.
Mehbooba said, PDP had high hope on the recent visit of Home Minister Amit Shah to help improve the situation in Kashmir, but it did not happen. Advocate Majid was welcomed into the party by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and other senior party leaders during a function in Srinagar .
Mehbooba hope that joining of Mir to party fold would provide a boost strengthening it at the grassroots.
