Congress protest, demands dismissal of Union MoS Home
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Monday held protest against murder of farmers in Lekhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, demanding dismissal of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs from the Council of Ministers.
According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the party also demanded exemplary punishment to the son of Ajay Mishra Teni for brutally murdering farmers under his jeep.
Senior Congress leaders and workers led by J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi held protest against the murder of farmers, holding both UP Govt and BJP Govt responsible for encouraging crime in order to hide their utter failure on all fronts.
They demanded exemplary punishment to son of Union MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni and justice to the families’ of victims. The farmers were returning after holding peaceful protest, but were crushed to death by the son of Union MoS Home, the leaders said and termed the incident as barbaric and ghastly.
The murder of farmers has shaken the conscience of the nation, Congress leaders added and demanded justice to the victims, who were returning after holding peaceful protest, but were murdered by the son of BJP minister.
