Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (GPC) Saturday said that after the recent killings of minority community members, they have decided that no government official belonging to the minorities will attend their duties unless the government assures them security.

In a press conference GPC General Secretary said that the government was having the inputs about the attacks on the minorities but they maintained silence and did not act on time to save them from such attacks.

Singh, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the government has failed to safeguard the minority community in Jammu and Kashmir.

“We demand from the government to provide security to our government employees and assure the minority community that they are safe in the valley,” he said.

Singh said that the majority should come forward and condemn the attack on the minority communities.

“It would have been better if the majority community would have participated in yesterday’s protest,” Singh said. “Unless government assures security to the minority, none of them would attend the government duty.”
