Mehbooba questions normalcy narrative in Kashmir after the recent civilian killings

Former Chief Minister (CM) Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday while taking to twitter has questioned the normalcy narrative being created by the J&K administration and the central government in the backdrop of recent civilian killings in Kashmir.

She alleged that the central government is peddling what she described as a fake narrative of normalcy and said that this narrative stands exposed because of the civilians’ killings.

According to the news agencies quoting Mehbooba, tweets have said as follows on Wednesday in their news reports.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba said with the recent spate of civilian killings in Kashmir GOIs fake narrative of normalcy lies in tatters.

An utterly desensitized government that has devalued human lives & pushed J&K, into further peril & chaos by its ruthless policies of collective punishment all in the garb of security.

Three persons, including a famous chemist Makhan Lal Bindroo and a non local were killed by terrorists at three different places? Two in Srinagar and one in Bandipora Tuesday evening.

The killings were widely condemned by Lt Governor and leaders of different political parties, including two former CMs Mehbooba and Omar Abdullah.
