Deaf Judo Champions delegation calls on Advisor Farooq Khan
Rakhshinda, Vishal to represent India in first World Deaf Judo Championship 2021 at Versillia, France
JAMMU, OCTOBER 06: A delegation of Deaf Judo Champions today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and apprised him of their issues and concerns.
The delegation, led by S Suraj Bhan Singh, Senior Judo Coach, J&K Sports Council comprised of Roshan Bhan Principal J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra School for hearing handicapped, Shahidi Chowk, Jammu and parents of deaf and dumb Judokas.
Advisor was informed that two Deaf and Dumb Judokas, Rakhshinda Mehak and Vishal Khajuria, have been selected for representing India in the ensuing first World Deaf Judo Championship being held at Versillia, France from 27th Oct 2021 to 30th Oct 2021.
Suraj Bhan Singh shall be escorting the National Judo team of 6 members, 3 men and 3 women including the selected Judokas hailing from JK UT. The team will leave for France on 26th Oct 2021 and before leaving for world championship a special training camp shall also be held at Delhi.
Advisor Farooq Khan complimented the specially abled Judokas for being selected for International tourney expressing hope of their victory in the event. He assured full cooperation and logistic help to the team for this global championship.
Wishing good luck to the Judokas and Coach, Advisor assured that the players would be suitably rewarded for their performance in this world championship.
